Forward Bank

Forward Bank has donated $60,000 to sponsor the climbing wall at the new Aquatic Center currently under construction in Marshfield.

Fundraising by the Aquatic Center committee has been ongoing for the past 18 months. In 2020, they met their target goal for funding and were able to begin the construction process at the site of the old Hefko pool. The new center, named Vandehey Waters, will feature the climbing wall, additional capacity, zero-depth entry, water slides, a play structure, a concession stand, diving boards, and an enhanced bathhouse.

“We are thrilled that the community has come together again to enhance another venue that makes Marshfield a great place to live and work,” commented Justin Casperson, Director of Marshfield Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department. “The Aquatic Center, much like Hefko Pool, provides a needed place for families to go to spend time doing active and healthy activities outside. The additional features like the Forward sponsored climbing wall will make their experience more fun and interactive.”

“The entire Forward team is proud to see our organization leave our mark on places that we all visit each year,” stated Megan Rosandich, Office Manager of Forward Bank in Marshfield. “This is a wonderful representation of our mission to move our communities forward and create a welcome place for families to spend time together.”
